Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to explain why he picked Luke Shaw in Manchester United's defeat by RB Leipzig - a decision that left Paul Scholes baffled.
The left-back last played for the Red Devils in early November before he was named on Solskjaer's teamsheet to face the Bundesliga outfit in Germany.
Shaw, who has just returned from injury, managed an hour in the Champions League group game before being replaced by Brandon Williams.
After the match Scholes questioned Solskjaer's decision. "Luke Shaw, he's not played football for, what is it, a month? And he's a lad who needs weeks to get his fitness back," Scholes told BT Sport.
