David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

David Beckham's Inter Miami are set to pocket $50,000 (£40k) from Gareth Bale joining their rivals LAFC.Bale has agreed to move to Los Angeles on a free transfer and while his former side Real Madrid have not made any money off the move, Miami will due to an odd MLS rule.

According to Diario AS, the club co-owned by football royalty Beckham had put Bale on their 'Discovery List'.Under the league's rules, teams can place up to seven players without an MLS contract who they are interested in signing on said list.

It's a small price to pay after they fended off competition from all over the globe for the five-time Champions League winner.Bale's 12-month deal is expected to be officially announced this week after he posted a video confirming it last week.
