Wanderers grabbed a goal back through Antoni Sarcevic and Delaney was shown a second yellow card after a foul on Vaughan shortly after as Bolton ended the encounter with 10 men, while Evatt himself was shown a red card after the game by referee Neil Hair.
Wanderers had chances to draw themselves level after Sarcevic scored, with chances falling to substitutes Arthur Gnahoua and Alex Baptiste.
Evatt believes it was another illustration that this Bolton squad are capable of coming from behind and showing a reaction to conceding first, which has been a common denominator in many games this season.
But the Wanderers boss wants his side to stop having to chase games around the hour mark of matches after going behind, as he feels that is the time.
