Northenden pub owners 'overwhelmed' as more than 350 people support their successful bid for a permanent licence

Northenden Untapped has been given permission to open permanently by Manchester council after enjoying success under a temporary licence.

The local authority had only allowed the craft beer pub to open on Church Road for 18 months to see if it would take off after the plans were approved in October 2019.

Lee Duplex, who runs the pub with his wife Debbie, said the opening a month later had been well received by the community, who continued to support the pub during a ‘challenging’ year overshadowed by Covid-19.
