NORMAL People is returning for two specials after series one broke BBC iPlayer records. The hit drama is an adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel and follows the relationship between Marianne and Connell through high school all the way to University.
More than 23 million people streamed the series, breaking all previous records, and now two specials have been confirmed with stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal returning to their roles.
The specials will air this Friday (June 26) on RTÉ Does Comic Relief in Ireland, with the charity's co-founder Richard Curtis confirming the news to fans' delight.
Richard also confirmed director Lenny Abrahamson would be back, but the specials wouldn't necessarily be what fans expect. He told RTÉ Radio 1:.
