Noah Baumbach is chilling with Netflix. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind last award season’s darling Marriage Story has signed a deal to write and produce films for the streaming giant for the next several years.
And he already has his next project in sights: an adaptation of White Noise, the 1985 novel that broke author Don DeLillo into the mainstream and earned the writer a National Book Award for fiction.
Adam Driver, a frequent collaborator of the filmmaker’s who starred in Baumbach’s Marriage Story, and Greta Gerwig, the filmmaker's romantic and creative partner, are in talks to reteam with the writer-director with the project eyeing a start this summer after Driver wraps MGM’s Gucci with Lady Gaga.
