No new coronavirus cases confirmed in Bolton for the first time in months

No new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bolton yesterday. It is the first time since March 16 that the town has gone 24 hours without a positive test being registered on the official figures.

The number of people who have contracted Covid-19 across the borough remains at 1,001, according to data from Public Health England.

Trafford was the only other area of Greater Manchester to not see a rise in confirmed cases yesterday, with the total number of people infected by the disease around the region increasing by 52 to reach 9,748.
