Many who worked security for the nightlife industry have had to move into other employment with clubs and gig venues shuttered by lockdowns.
Now trade body the UK Door Security Association is warning that as many as six in 10 door supervisor positions may not be filled in time for the industry to reopen.
Under the current Government roadmap, nightclubs could be able to open for the first time in more than a year on June 21, or step four of the roadmap.
