coronavirus briefing later today amid a rise in cases across the country. It will be the first time the government has held a press conference since the entire country moved out of the levels system on August 9.
Case numbers across Scotland have doubled in the last week with hospital and intensive care admissions also on the rise as things return to normal.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will lead the briefing and give an update on the situation which has deteriorated over the course of the last week.Yesterday, the Scottish Government announced 3,184 new cases in the last 24 hours.In that same time period there were no deaths linked to the deadly virus.
