Join thousands of others and get the latest Scottish politics news sent straight to your inbox.The Scottish Government is to receive its share of UK funding which could be used to give £500 to help people on low incomes self-isolate.In a press release this morning, Boris Johnson announced help for people on modest means who face a loss of earnings if they find themselves in this position.However, it was unclear from the announcement whether the £500 scheme would apply to Scotland.UK Government sources have now said the scheme will result in funding being provided to the Scottish administration through the Barnett Formula.Once the funding arrives, it will be up to Nicola Sturgeon's Government to decide.
