Nicola Sturgeon extends lockdown in Scotland for three more weeks

Scotland's coronavirus lockdown has been extended for another three weeks.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon made the announcement during the daily press conference on Thursday.The FM said that lifting any restrictions right now would be 'very, very risky indeed'.The next time the lockdown will be reviewed will be May 28.

It comes as it was revealed that 1,762 people have now died in Scottish hospitals after testing positive for coronavirus, an increase of 59 on Wednesday's figures.

There has been a rise of 215 people testing positive for the killer virus which takes the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 12, 924.The numbers released today during the daily Scottish government press briefing at St Andrew's House also reveal that
