NHS staff lined the streets to cheer for a popular nurse who died from coronavirus as her hearse carrying drove her past the hospital where she used to work.
Josephine Peter, 55, passed away last week after falling ill with Covid-19, sparking a wave of tributes. Doctors, nurses and other hospital staff were filmed clapping for the mum-of-two, who worked at Southport Hospital, in Merseyside.
Some workers stood with their heads bowed in a sign of respect for Josephine, the Liverpool Echo reports. The nurse has been described as "passionate, hard-working and always putting others before herself".
