Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos once their takeover goes through.
Daily Star Sport understands that the Saudi-backed takeover is set to be formally announced by the end of next week and it will transform the Magpies into one of the world's richest sporting institutions.
As a result, Newcastle could splash their newfound cash in the summer transfer market and have been linked with a host of potential new recruits.
Now, Portuguese outlet A Bola is reporting that 26-year-old stopper Vlachodimos is being eyed by Newcastle but Benfica will refuse to let him go for less than his £53m release clause.
