Instead, if they get the go-ahead to reopen in early July, hairdressers are being asked to observe a 'silence rule'.The National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) has advised members to keep chat "to a minimum" to protect both staff and customers.It comes as the federation is urging the Government to publish full guidance as salons will need two weeks to redesign.In a letter to Alok Sharma, the Business Secretary, NHBF has expressed disappointment that “despite a real sense of progress” no official guidance is yet available.One hairdressing group, meanwhile, has already told its staff not to talk to customers.
