A new councillor has been elected to represent the area served by Bolton Council's former leader until his death earlier this year.
Conservative candidate Amy Cowen claimed an overwhelming victory after voters in the Bromley Cross ward went to the polls yesterday (October 28).
David Greenhalgh had been leader of the council from 2019 until he passed away earlier this year. The result was announced late last night, with the Tory candidate receiving 70% of the votes.
