For the latest Stockport news sign up to the MyStockport newsletter here Theme park fans will be able to enjoy more thrills from this weekend, after bus bosses extended key services to and from Alton Towers.
High Peak Buses will now run its Sunday and Bank Holiday 199 service through to Hartington, Peak Wildlife Park and Alton Towers Resort — as well as introducing a new early-evening return journey.
The 199 service now runs from Manchester Airport to the theme park, stopping in Stockport, Disley, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Buxton along the way.
The new timetable comes into effect from May 30, and will be in place until August 30. Additional journeys will be running through the day between Buxton and Hartington calling at Sterndale Moor and
