Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.
Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.
Neil Lennon shot down a question about Odsonne Edouard's future as he faced the media ahead of Sunday's Motherwell clash. The Premiership winners were eliminated from the Champions League by Ferencvaros on Wednesday, inevitably raising questions about the future of some of the Parkhead club's star men.
Edouard 's agent admitted that he'd be speaking to his client after that exit, but his manager was in no mood to discuss the striker's future.
Asked about the Frenchman's future Lennon replied: "Why would you bring up Odsonne?"I'm not going to talk about individual players.
We desperately want to keep Odsonne for the 10 - or going for the 10 - so I think it's unfair to single out him."He won't be available for Sunday.
