Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.
Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.
Neil Lennon insists Patryk Kilimala and Ismaila Soro are ready to play their part after hitting the ground running in pre-season.
Polish striker Klimala joined from Jagiellonia Bialystok and has only started once for the Hoops. Soro arrived from Israeli side Bnei Yehuda in the same window but the Ivorian midfielder has not featured so far.
Yet since returning to training last month the pair have impressed their gaffer, who has been able to put some of last season's late arrivals through their paces properly.
Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: "They've started to really integrate well, we are delighted with both of them. "It was short a turnaround for them when they came in January or March but they have had a good pre-season.
