A neighbourhood has been rocked after a woman was subjected to a 'serious' sexual assault on a Bolton street. Police were called to reports of a woman being attacked on Almond Street in Farnworth at 12.50am on Sunday (August 21).
The woman is thought to have left a premises on Market Street before walking along Market Street, King Street, Albert Road, Harrowby Street and onto Almond Street - where the assault occurred.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, residents who live in the area have expressed their shock at the upsetting news. One resident said: "It’s usually an incredibly quiet area.
