Filming has been taking place in Bolton town centre this week ahead of a new Netflix crime thriller series set to air next year on the streaming platform.

Crews have been seen shooting scenes for Bodies, an adaptation of a graphic novel by Si Spencer. It is set to star Stephen Graham of hit series Line of Duty as well as Jacob Fortune-Lloyd who played Francis Weston in the BBC series Wolf Hall.

Pictures taken on Monday afternoon (September 5) show camera crews and mock police cars in the town centre as filming for the series continues to take place.

Netflix said Bodies will be a crime procedural, set to last eight episodes. Four detectives in four different eras of London will find themselves investigating the same murder – an unidentified body in Whitechapel – uncovering a conspiracy spanning 150 years.
