A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in Bolton town centre. The alleged attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 17), police said.
Prashant Gurung, of Manchester Road, Bolton, has been charged with rape. The 20-year-old has been remanded into custody. He will appear at Wigan Magistrates' Court today. Detective Inspector Stuart Woodhead, of GMP’s Bolton’s CID said: "Firstly, we are grateful to the victim for working closely with us in gathering essential evidence that has led to the arrest of the man responsible for carrying out this horrific crime. "We are continuing our enquiries and reviewing the CCTV in the local area.
