mum who lost two of their children in a fire that killed five family members a decade ago have left parts of their home untouched as a tribute to their lost loved ones.
Heartbroken parents Steve Allen and Jonty Lewis have never fully recovered from the appalling tragedy that took the lives of their daughter Skye, 2, and four-year-old son Bailey.The two youngsters had been staying with their auntie Lee-Anna Shiers, 20, her partner Liam Timbrell, 23, and their 15-month-old son Charlie when neighbour Melanie Smith set a fire in the hallway of their flat.READ MORE: Trophy hunting 'like serial killer taking home victim's underwear', says animal charity Today, parts of Steve and Jonty’s home are stuck in time from before that tragic day, reports Wales Online.
Skye's clothes remain untouched inside a chest of drawers in her parents' bedroom while in the next room there are posters on Bailey’s bedroom wall that they haven’t been able to tear down.And around the house in Prestatyn are pictures of the two children alongside snaps of their five siblings, including their younger sister and two brothers who they never got the chance to meet.“Everyone deals with things differently, but for us having pictures and those reminders of those happy memories helps us cope.
Even though it's been 10 years, it doesn't feel like that, it feels like yesterday," said Steve.Man United fan Bailey and “daddy's girl” Skye had gone to stay with Lee-Anna, loving uncle Liam and “cheeky” cousin Charlie on October 19, 2012.
