Mum struggling on Universal Credit faces giving kids hot dogs for Christmas dinner

A struggling mum-of-four has told how she will feed her children hot dogs "or whatever is in the fridge" for  Christmas dinner this year after the pandemic hit the family hard.

Amy Hulley, from the Ings estate in east Hull, says the coronavirus pandemic has had a massive impact on her husband Jason's personal training business, and has since left their family of six relying on  Universal Credit.

The stay-at-home mum says despite their struggles though, she's adamant she will make her children's Christmas special, and has already bought second hand presents for Bethan, 10, Charlie, six, Dylan two, and Eliza, one.
