A mum saved a man's life after he was attacked on a petrol station forecourt by a man wielding a machete. The victim suffered serious facial injuries after he was repeatedly slashed at a station forecourt in Trafford around 2am on Saturday.
The victim managed to stagger away, with his attacker in pursuit, and sought refuge in a nearby house before the attack could continue.
Residents credit the woman who let him in the house with saving his life, reports the Manchester Evening News. Police are treating the sickening assault in Flixton, Greater Manchester, as attempted murder.
