Mrs. America, debuting in April via FX on Hulu, is one of the most anticipated series of 2020. Why, you ask? First of all, it stars Cate Blanchett, the two-time Oscar and three-time Golden Globe winner in her first series regular role.
Second, Mrs. America provides a sweeping view of the modern feminist movement, as it traces the story of the push to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in the early 1970s.
And did I mention Cate Blanchett? In the series, Blanchett plays Phyllis Schlafly, a figure perhaps not known to many, but who was highly influential to conservatives and students of contemporary women's history.
