City signed the promising winger from West Brom in a £3.96 million move in 2019 and he spent the latter half of last season at League One's Lincoln City, impressing with six goals and four assists in 28 appearances.
Rogers returned to the Blues and started for Pep Guardiola in the 2-0 friendly win over Preston in pre-season, as well as coming off the bench in victories over Barnsley and Blackpool.
