Monklands Rotary club hosts first festive community lunch in two years

Monklands Rotarians gave members of the community the greatest gifts of all at their festive-flavoured lunch - cracking company, exciting entertainment and a mouth-watering meal.Coatbridge, Airdrie and Monklands Rotary Club welcomed more than 100 residents and staff from care homes and other organisations across the area.The welcome winter treat was held in Airdrie's Tudor Hotel and returned for the first time in a couple of years after the impact of the pandemic.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

"We had over 100 people join us and they were fed a treat and entertained throughout the event."Musician Janice Toner returned with her keyboard to bring much needed festive cheer and we'd like to thank her for coming along and providing outstanding tunes."Even Santa made an appearance, with two of his elves, and handed out a few gifts."It was our pleasure to host this gathering once again and we already can't wait until we see everyone again for another slap-up meal and hours of fun at the end of this year."
