Ex-Chelsea midfielder Jon Obi Mikel says he has been taken aback by Mohamed Salah's rise to stardom in the past few years. The two players were teammates at Stamford Bridge briefly during Salah's largely unsuccessful spell at the club, in which he made just 13 Premier League appearances before being loaned to Fiorentina.
After later being permanently sold to Roma, Salah returned to the Premier League for Liverpool in 2017 and has become arguably one of the best forwards in the world, winning two Golden Boots and netting 91 times in 144 games in all competitions for the Reds.
