In fact, the only three movies to outperform it are Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked and Dune: Part 2. Moana grossed $687 million at the box office upon its release in 2016.

The trailer for the long-awaited sequel was viewed more than 178 million times within its first day of release, proving that anticipation is at an all-time high for the story to continue.
