Tory Mayor Andy Street charged taxpayers £17 for a Remembrance Day wreath, the Mirror can reveal. Documents show the multi-millionaire West Midlands metro mayor and former John Lewis chief used taxpayers’ cash to pay for a memorial wreath last November.
The charge was revealed in a document outlining “all personal expenses incurred by the Mayor of the West Midlands in his official capacity”.
The money was taken out of the Mayor’s office budget, which is funded by taxpayers.
