Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has praised the versatility of Ainsley Maitland-Niles after his performance in the 4-1 win over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.
Maitland-Niles has been used as a wing-back on both the right and left by Arteta this season but started in his favoured central midfield role against Vienna.The 23-year-old impressed in the win and Arteta admitted that "he has a chance" of breaking into the Premier League side, having not started a game in that competition since September.When asked about Maitland-Niles in his post-match press conference, the Spaniard said: "What he's done today the great thing with Ainsley is that he can fill various positions and that’s a great thing to have around the squad."He’s played on the left.
