Guendouzi was at the centre of an ill-tempered affair at Brighton last time out as the Gunners were beaten 2-1. He grabbed Seagulls striker Neal Maupay by the throat during a fracas at full-time but did not face any disciplinary action.
However, his manager left him out of the squad altogether as the Gunners bid for their first win since returning to action following the coronavirus lockdown.
