Matteo Guendouzi 'booked for sarcasm' by referee Mike Dean in Arsenal FA Cup tie

Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi drew the ire of referee Mike Dean for a sarcastic response during Monday night's FA Cup fifth round tie at Portsmouth.

Gunners midfielder Guendouzi won a free-kick towards the end of the first half of the clash at Fratton Park, but when he tried to take it quickly he was admonished by referee Dean for placing the ball in the wrong position.

Guendouzi then tried again to take the kick, only to be told that the ball was still not where it should be. Angered by Dean's insistence, Guendouzi then theatrically picked the ball up and placed it in the correct position in full view of Dean.
