The Met Office has predicted exactly when Storm Bert will hit Manchester this weekend. An area of low pressure is building over the Atlantic and will hit the UK as Storm Bert, the second named storm of the season, in the early hours of Saturday.

Northern Ireland will see the impact of the storm first, with rain, snow and gales hitting at around 3am. The storm will then move across the UK bringing heavy rain and snow to parts of Scotland and northern England.
