The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms across parts of England, with risk of flooding and disruption to travel this afternoon.
Despite most of the country seeing an improvement in the weather today, it isn't to last in the north west of England. Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop on Saturday afternoon, initially over parts of north Wales and the southern part of northwest England, and then later in the afternoon across Cumbria and the north Pennines.
The Met Office is predicting as much as 20mm could fall in less than an hour and are warning this could lead to localised flooding.
