Following an extended period of extremely high temperatures, many people across the UK, including Greater Manchester, reported seeing lightning without any thunder over the weekend.
It comes after the weather returns to form for this time of year after an unseasonable heatwave that brought with it one of the hottest days of the year.
The Met Office earned that there could be flooding, hail, strong winds, and thundery showers in the coming days, Yorkshire Live reports.
A spokesperson said: “ Some communities might become cut off if roads flood. Power cuts might occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
