Meghan Markle was “hit hard” by the cancellation of her animated series by Netflix and has been taking steps to avoid future "ridicule", a royal commentator has claimed.After leaving their royal lives behind, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quickly signed lucrative contracts with Netflix and Spotify.However, despite two years having passed, little evidence of any imminent content from the pair has been forthcoming, and bad news struck when it was announced that Meghan’s animated series Pearl had been canned amid cuts at the streaming giant.READ MORE: Meghan and Harry risk provoking 'Queen's wrath' during upcoming UK visitNow, royal commentator Neil Sean has suggested that the couple might be acting more cautiously about announcing future plans to avoid more bad publicity. “The Pearl thing really hit Meghan very hard because it was very embarrassing wasn’t it for them?”, Neil told viewers of his YouTube channel. “Archewell productions proudly announced that they’re going to be making etc…And then for them to have to remove it even though it was in the public domain and everybody knew, now they’re basically stating that they don’t want to put anything on the website unless it’s 100% going forward so that they don’t experience any more ridicule.”Fans have been waiting patiently for news about Meghan’s Spotify series, which she announced would be named Archetypes in a teaser trailer released in March.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has reportedly been followed by Netflix cameras while visiting the Hague for the Invictus Games, which is expected to be part of the Heart of Invictus docu-series listed on the Archewell website.
