Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Meghan touched on the possibility of forgiveness between her and her royal in-laws and her own family. She told The Cut: "I think forgiveness is really important.
It takes a lot more energy to not forgive. "But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I’ve really made an active effort, especially knowing that I can say anything." Meghan added: "I have a lot to say until I don’t… Sometimes, as they say, the silent part is still part of the song." It comes amid reports the Sussexes are "unlikely" to see the Queen in Balmoral, where she is in Scotland, during their trip to the UK in September for charity events.The Duke and Duchess are said to be travelling to Manchester on September 5 for One Young World Summit where Meghan will give a keynote address at the opening ceremony.They will then head to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event before returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards on 8 September.
