Meghan Markle has shared her concerns over her son Archie ever attending school in the UK, as she openly admitted “I’d have a problem with that." The 41 year old Duchess of Sussex, who shares two children with husband Prince Harry, spoke of her worries in a new interview with New York magazine The Cut.
Relaying the conversation to readers, Allison wrote: “Earlier in our conversation about her goals for the life she’s creating here, she’d remarked upon how, if Archie were in school in the U.K., she’d never be able to do school pickup and drop-off without it being a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures.” Meghan told the interviewer: “Sorry, I have a problem with that. That doesn’t make me obsessed with privacy. “That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child.” The comments come despite the fact that Meghan's in laws, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are known to regularly do the school run without interference from photographers.
Images of the young Royals when not at official events are rarely published by the British press, unlike their US counterparts.
Indeed Archie’s first day at school in the US was captured by paparazzi - a move which prompted Harry to vent his frustration as “madness”.
