One couple admitted to spending $57,000 AUD (around £31,000) on takeaways in the last year.Susan and Lee, from Melbourne, Australia, revealed they like to spend time playing golf instead of cooking.They use the Easi app to get some of their favourite Chinese dishes – including a Peking duck bundle that can set them back $1,000 (around £550) a pot.
The couple told A Current Affair : “On my credit card statement I actually spent $57,204 on food delivery. “(It's) to make our life easier because we play golf.“We want to save time to play one more round on the golf course.”Susan and Lee’s situation is far from unusual.Ben is a self-proclaimed “food addict” who’s spent $10,000 (£5,500) on.
