Elderly man's surprise dying wish will melt your heart

Realestate.com.au, Sydneysider Ian Hemming, whom passed away earlier this year has opted to have the proceeds from the sale of his five-bedroom house located near Parramatta River donated to cancer research.

The Melrose Park home which is placed on a 855sqm block, is set to go to auction on September 19. Ian reportedly came to the decision after discovering that out of all cancers, the ovarian variety was one of the least funded fields in the country.

Ray White Real Estate The man asked his neighbour Ros Scott to oversee the sale. “He was a really humble, kind-hearted man, and wanted to make a difference,” Ros  said. “When (his) dad passed away some years ago, Ian started talking about what he might do with the house and said he wanted to.
