Max Verstappen could buy the Playboy Mansion three times over with his staggering new Formula One wage. The reigning F1 champion has been handsomely rewarded by Red Bull for winning their first Driver's title since 2013 last year.Verstappen already had a contract in place for the upcoming season worth £18million-a-year.But now the Dutchman has agreed an extension to his deal until 2028 which will reportedly see him pocket a salary of £37m - more than double his current pay packet. He will earn £221m in total over the course of the seven-year spell, which is the biggest driver contract in F1 history. It is in fact so large that it equates to approximately three times the value of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's former residence. The Playboy Mansion, near Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, was sold in 2016, a year before Hefner passed away.It had originally been listed for $200m (£149m), but the price fell to half of that figure by the time it was sold, as per People. Is Verstappen being overpaid?

Let us know in the comments section. The £74.5m fee would leave Verstappen searching for a couple of extra millions on top of his contract if he wanted to splash that amount three times over. But we're sure he'd have no problem finding the extra cash from his lengthy list of sponsorship deals. He would have to deal with Daren Metropoulos, the son of billionaire investor Dean Metropoulos, who bought the property and uses it for corporate activities.Speaking about his contract renewal, Verstappen said: "I really enjoy being part of the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team, so choosing to stay to the 2028 season was an easy decision."I love this team and last year was simply incredible, our goal since we came together in 2016 was to win the championship.
