Matt Hancock was left looking sheepish on breakfast television after being grilled by an ICU nurse who demanded to know how he could "look NHS staff in the face." The Health Secretary appeared on Good Morning Britain today to address whether there would be a national lockdown, the confusion regarding schools and on ICU wards struggling over understaffing.

Host Susanna Reid was quick to point out ICU nurse Dave Carr's remarks that hospitals are "beyond breaking point"."It's absolutely harrowing, it's breaking us," he had said, warning that medics are preparing to send sick patients away."It's already worse than it was in the first wave," he said.
