An alleged escort accused of being the "matriarch" behind a multi-million-pound celebrity burglary conspiracy told a detective he had "lovely blue eyes" during questioning, a court has heard.
Maria Mester allegedly made the comments after she was arrested by police at Stansted Airport upon her arrival back in the UK in January 2020 on suspicion of her involvement in the largest domestic burglary plot in British history.
Isleworth Crown Court heard Mester, 47, was detained while wearing a pair of earrings allegedly stolen during a £25 million raid on the Kensington home of socialite Tamara Ecclestone.
