Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he lost the leading role in the 2010 hit movie Blue Valentine to Ryan Gosling.The 52-year-old actor told Variety about missing out on the role of Dean Pereira that Gosling, 39, portrayed opposite leading lady Michelle Williams, 39, as Cindy Heller.Ruffalo said that Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance, 46, 'tried and failed' to cast him in the role that earned Gosling a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor - Motion Picture Drama.
