Mandy Moore has responded to ex-husband Ryan Adams’ apology over her abuse allegations, saying she found it “curious” he chose to do it publicly rather than privately.
Moore and six other women came forward in February last year, alleging the singer-songwriter had been guilty of manipulating and controlling behaviour.
At the time, a lawyer for Adams denied the allegations of abuse. However, has has now written a lengthy essay for the Daily Mail, apologising for his behaviour. “There are no words to express how bad I feel about the ways I’ve mistreated people through my life and career,” the 45-year-old wrote. “All I can say is that I’m sorry.” Moore, 36, was married to Adams from 2009 to 2016.
