In the wake of making controversial statements about Jews, Nazi Germany and the nation’s divided political climate back in February 2021, Carano was essentially dismissed from The Mandalorian.
Lucasfilm released a statement at the time, saying “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.
Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.” The actress was promplty fired from her agency UTA at the time with Hasbro halting the manufacture of Cara Dune action figures.
