United's statement confirmed a deal is in place to sign Sancho from the Bundesliga club and that the 21-year-old will undergo his medical and sign personal terms on a five-year contract once his involvement in the European Championship is over.
The two clubs reached an agreement over an €85million transfer fee on Wednesday and on Thursday morning Borussia Dortmund issued their own statement to the German stock exchange confirming that fee, which equates to £72.9million.
