Arsenal’s Premier League trip to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium has been postponed, it has been announced. The decision was made in the early hours of Wednesday morning, following confirmation on Tuesday that Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis had tested positive for coronavirus.
The Greek businessman was in attendance for Olympiacos’ clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium 13 days ago, where a number of players met Marinakis shortly after the match.
Arsenal are now following medical advice which recommends anyone coming into close contact with someone with the virus should self-isolate at home for 14 days from the last time they had contact.
