Firefighters were called to the Holiday Inn on Aytoun Street just after 1am on Friday. When crews arrived the fire was out, but a corridor was smoke-logged.
It's thought around 25 guests were evacuated. They waited in a nearby hotel until it was safe to return to their rooms.
